We’ve had some questions about Lindy Hop Heaven starting Friday, April 3rd.
What is "Lindy Hop Heaven"?
It’s our way of giving a special spotlight to the Lindy Hop community! On the first Friday of every month, we curate the evening to be particularly "swing-heavy." The bands will focus their sets on the classic tempos and rhythms that Lindy Hoppers love to dance to.
I don’t dance the Lindy Hop—am I still welcome?
Absolutely. The club hasn’t changed owners or changed its soul! While the music on the first Friday is curated for swing dancers, it remains a fantastic night for:
Other Dance Styles:
- Balboa, Shag, Jive, Charleston, Quickstep, and Foxtrot dancers will find plenty to love.
- Music Lovers: If you prefer to enjoy the music from the comfort of a chair with a drink in hand, you’ll still hear the same high-quality jazz you’ve come to expect.
Is the format of the night changing? Not at all. We know you like the way we do things! You can still expect:
- The same three-set format.
- The same friendly faces on stage and behind the bar.
- The same welcoming, social atmosphere.
Are the other Fridays changing too?
No. Our other Friday nights will continue to offer a wonderful variety of Jazz, Jive, and Blues. While "Lindy Hop Heaven" is a monthly special, every Friday remains a night where live music and dancing go hand-in-hand.
I’m a Lindy Hopper—should I only come on the first Friday?
We certainly hope not! While the first Friday is "heaven," our regular nights feature incredible bands that are perfect for Lindy, Swing, and Blues. We encourage all our dancers to support live music every week to keep the Edinburgh jazz scene thriving.
Do I need to book for Lindy Hop Heaven?
Nope! Entry on the door is exactly as it's always been.

Lindy Hop Heaven
Starting April 3rd, the first Friday of every month will officially be Lindy Hop Heaven. On these nights, our bands will be leaning into those classic, high-energy swing tunes that Lindy Hoppers dream about.
"What if I’m not a Lindy Hopper?"
Don’t worry—you’re still invited to the party! While the music will have a swing focus, it remains a fantastic night for Balboa, Shag, Jive, Charleston, Quickstep, and Foxtrot.
If you’re here purely for the music, nothing changes. You’ll see the same familiar faces on stage, enjoy our classic three-set Friday format, and experience the same great bar service and atmosphere you’ve come to love. Whether you are on the floor or at a table with a drink, a great night is guaranteed.
Keep the Rhythm Going All Month Long
While the first Friday gets a special name, the music doesn't stop there. Our regular Friday nights will continue to feature a diverse range of world-class bands perfect for listening and all styles of dance - including Jazz, Blues, and Swing.
So, whether it’s the first Friday or the last, we can’t wait to see you on the dance floor.
